Daria Sazanovich work takes as foundation the figure of the witch as a political figure. It researches the concept not as an esoterical notion but from a critical perspective that resembles the approach of feminist philosopher Silvia Federici. Inspired by her own relatives engagement with witchcraft in a remote village in rural Belarus, Daria conjures 4 spells that intend to reclaim, demand and empower woman on the subjects of invisibility, sexuality, fertility and voice.
